VigilancePro™ includes pre-populated lexicons of keywords and phrases that can be easily customised to include organisation-specific content such as sensitive project names, future product codenames, or protective markings. As well as keywords and phrases specific data types can also be added – such as customer reference numbers, account numbers, credit card PANs, social security and NI numbers, tax codes and NHS or other health service numbers.

VigilancePro™ monitors keyboard input and the clipboard (cut, copy and paste), as well as the content of any application presented to the user in any window on the desktop in real-time for the occurrence of any lexicon content.

The ability to detect specific content - and respond intelligently - enables organisations to meet the compliance requirements mandated within the DPA, PCI DSS, FSA, SOX, HIPAA, FISMA, as well as standards such as ISO27001, without unacceptable operational disruption.

Whenever a match is found the VigilancePro™ response is configurable:

• an event may be sent to the VigilancePro™ Manager with the option to include all foreground window text and/or a desktop screenshot
  
• a real-time email or SMS message can be sent to appropriate individuals
  
• the application window displaying the content – such as a web browser - can be automatically closed

Content Control provides not only a comprehensive detailed audit trail identifying exactly where specific content appears (such as credit card numbers unencrypted in emails – expressly prohibited within PCI DSS) but also a powerful mechanism for protecting personal identifiable information or sensitive date from misuse, abuse, or unintentional dissemination.
