Overtis is headed up by a management team with an extensive track record of providing ground breaking physical and logical security solutions to enterprises globally. Within the company's DNA is in-depth security experience provided by personnel who've quietly succeeded in the international arenas of high value government, military and commercial security & information management.
Each of the team has a proven background in either physical or information security and all share the vision that both disciplines are converging at an accelerating rate.
Ed Macnair – CEO
Ed joined Overtis in September 2009. He was formerly CEO of Marshal; a UK based Internet Security Company acquired through a Management Buyout from NetiQ. Ed tripled revenues over a three year period and subsequently merged Marshal with US based 8e6 Technologies in December 2008. The transaction resulted in a significant return for shareholders in only three years. Ed has previously held senior management positions with Messagelabs, Symantec, IBM and Xerox.
Jeremy Barker – Chief Software Architect
Jeremy joined the board of Overtis Group following the acquisition of Silent Knight Technologies (SKT), where he was CEO/CTO. Highly experienced in a wide range of IT technologies and with over 15 years experience of managing the delivery of complex software development projects for organisations including Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and Sun Microsystems, Jeremy was both the inspiration for and technical architect behind SKT’s software which now forms the basis of the VigilancePro product.
Jeremy is also a co-founder, former CTO and a non-executive director of Speed-Trap Limited, a UK provider of sophisticated web analytics technology.
Richard Walters – Chief Technology Officer
Richard joined Overtis in November 2008 prior to which he was Director of Business Development/CTO at Integralis, Europe's largest independent security integrator, a position Richard held for six years. He has over 20 years experience in the IT industry - mainly with blue-chip vendors including Digital, Dell, and Panasonic - complemented by experience in end user roles. For the last 10 years Richard has focused on security and has in depth knowledge of operating system and database security, intrusion detection systems, and end point security solutions.
Richard is responsible for product management, product marketing and forging technology partnerships for information security products and for the Group’s overall marketing strategy. This role involves keeping abreast of emerging complementary and competing technologies and he works closely with R&D to mould product strategy, define enhancements and develop future releases of VigilancePro and related technologies.
Lisa Davis – Finance Director
Lisa is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience of working with software companies and on software projects.
She started her career at Coopers & Lybrand where she had responsibility for a number of clients in the Software and Technology Industry. Subsequently she has held a number of senior Finance roles with companies whose turnover ranged from £1m to in excess of £100m including Pitney Bowes Ltd, Autoglass Ltd, Belron International Ltd and most recently Audatex (UK) Ltd.
Her broad experience also includes involvement in a number of IT Implementation Projects including 3 ERP implementations and the build of an in-house Data Centre. Her roles have included Finance Management, Programme Management and Design Authority for projects from £6m to £50m.
